Virtual Mosque: Helping you to maximise on the blessed month of Ramadan
Alhamdulillah the blessed month of Ramadan is upon us. However, due to the pandemic, Ramadan once again will look very different to what we were used to. That is why we are bringing back the Virtual Mosque. Here you’ll find everything you need to get through a Ramadan in lockdown – with weekly Live Jummah Reminders, talks on Islamic history, nasheed nights, Qur’an recitation and much more!
We’ve also added helpful digital resources such as a downloadable Duaa book, and Prayer and Ramadan timetables for various cities across the UK. The virtual mosque also has resources to keep the kids productive throughout Ramadan.
Virtual Mosque: Eco-Ramadan
Ramadan is an important spiritual month for Muslims. It’s a time when we remember Allah (SWT), worship Him and thank Him for all He has blessed us with. Alhamdulillah!
However, for many of us, it’s also a time of increased spending, increased eating come iftar time and increased consumption.
As Muslims, we’ve been instructed to look after the Earth by Allah (SWT). In the Holy Qur’an, He tells us:
“Eat and drink from the provision of Allah, and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption.” (Qur’an 2:60)
Sadly, our increased consumption is having the opposite effect of what Allah (SWT) requested. We’re destroying the planet and worsening the impact of climate change. That’s why, this year, we’re introducing a new Eco-Ramadan section in the virtual mosque. Here you’ll find lots of resources to help you reduce your impact on our beautfil planet during this blessed month.
We hope you find the Virtual Mosque a way maximise on this Ramadan in lockdown.
