We also give thanks to Allah (SWT) for a healthy baby!

New born baby wishes in Islam

How do you say congratulations when a baby is born in Islam?

Well we can say “Mabrouk!” meaning congratulations.

We also make du’a and ask for blessings. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) taught us:

And it is recommended [for the parent] to reply to the person congratulating and say: May Allah bless you, and shower His blessings upon you, or [say:] may Allah reward you well and grant you its like, or [say:] may he reward you abundantly, and similar to this.

What does the Qur’an says about child birth?

In the story of Mary, mother of Jesus (AS), we are reminded of the hardship of women when they go through pregnancy and childbirth.

As the hadith explains: “paradise lies beneath her (our mother’s) feet.”

Our mothers are a blessing and we should remember the physical, emotional and financial sacrifices they make for us – including bearing us.
