Gaza: The resilience and faith in Allah from our staff

Masha’Allah the resilience of our staff and their immense faith in Allah during these difficult times are truly inspiring.

Islamic Relief are extremely grateful to Allah SWT that we were able to reconnect with our teams on the ground in Gaza, following the complete shutdown of communications on 27th October 2023.

Alhamdulillah, our brave staff and their families are safe and despite the extremely challenging conditions, they continue to deliver life-saving aid to those affected. We continue to pray for the safety of our teams in Gaza and ask all our supporters to keep them in your duaas.

These were the words our colleague in Gaza shared with our CEO, Waseem Ahmed, when they were able to reconnect.

May Allah bestow peace and mercy upon you Waseem.

BarakAllahu feek (May Allah bless you), our beloved.

JazakAllahu khayr (May Allah grant you goodness).

Alhamdulillah (All praise is to God), Lord of all worlds, for everything.

Alhamdulillah (All praise is due to Allah), Nothing will ever befall us except what Allah has destined for us. [Qur’an 9:51].

This is our Qadr (fate), our destiny, Alhamdulillah (all praise is to Allah).

And we are patient, Alhamdulillah (all praise is to Allah).

We are judged, and still standing, by His will.

Alhamdulillah (all praise is to Allah), Lord of the worlds, all the team, colleagues, are okay, Alhamdulillah (all praise is to Allah).

Very well, In sha Allah (God willing).

And hope it ends soon, In sha Allah (God willing).

And see you all, and talk to you, In sha Allah (God willing), Lord of the worlds.

With all khayr (goodness).

BarakAllahu feek (May Allah bless you), our beloved.

JazakAllahu khayr (May Allah grant you goodness).

We send our salaam to everybody.

In sha Allah (God willing), we hope you continue your duaas for us.

Peace and blessings be upon you.
