Donate to Afghanistan today

Millions of Afghans are struggling to put food on the table due to one of the worst droughts Afghanistan has seen. This situation is further compounded by ongoing political insecurity and conflict, families have been forced to flee their homes in search of safety. Donating to Afghanistan today can help our teams on the ground to get to those in most need.

Since July, over 10,000 displaced people have officially arrived in the capital Kabul, and thousands more are reportedly staying in the open in different parts of the city making them especially vulnerable. Assessments are ongoing elsewhere such as in Nangarhar where 28,000 people from Kunar have reportedly been displaced.

Islamic Relief Afghanistan is on the ground and have initiated an emergency response.

Please Donate to Afghanistan Now and help save lives.

Islamic Relief is on the ground

Islamic Relief has been working in Afghanistan for over 20 years, we were one of the few aid agencies to continue working during the military incursions, and our Kabul, Balkh, Jalalabad and Bamyan offices remain open today.

Recently, our teams on the ground have distributed 13,061 food packs to the most vulnerable families in Kabul, Nangarhar, Balkh, Bamiyan, and Kapisa provinces. Qurbani meat distributions to over 10,000 families have also been carried out.

Our Covid-19 response in Afghanistan has reached over 308,514 people, and we continue to raise awareness and support women facing gender-based violence. Our teams in the UK have also supported Afghan refugee families by providing hot meals and delivering essential sanitary items.

Donate now and help us continue our life-saving work.

Where donations to this emergency appeal meet the immediate needs of those affected we will use the remaining funds for longer term relief to the communities affected by this emergency and then for other humanitarian relief within Afghanistan.
