With 1 in 3 women experiencing physical and/or sexual violence in their lifetime, it’s crucial we take action to fight violence against women and girls and work towards greater gender justice.
This November, we’re calling on mosques across the UK to deliver a khutbah on gender justice on 29th November and/or 6th December. These two dates are incredibly important as they fall within the period of the UN 16 days of activism starting on 25th November and ending on 10th December.
By delivering a khutbah, your mosque will be committing to stand up against gender-based violence and commit to a fairer, more equal world.
Let’s see the world #ThroughHerEyes. Take a look and see if your mosque is signed up! If not, please do get in touch with your mosque and sign them up to the campaign by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Don’t forget to tweet us with the hashtag #ThroughHerEyes, adding the name of the mosque that will be participating and any photos from the day!
