Niakale lost six children because she didn’t have clean water. She was forced to walk miles to find safe water just so the family could stay alive. One day she embarked on an arduous journey to find water and when she returned home, she found two of her children dead. Their story breaks our hearts, but together we can do something to prevent this happening all around the world.
Inadequate water, wells, sanitation and hygiene not only cause sickness and death, as shortages in water can lead to harvest failures and even famine. All these factors combine together to contribute to the continuing cycle of poverty in developing countries
