Islamic Relief UK is looking to recruit an energetic and highly motivated Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive and effective administrative support to the IRUK Deputy Director (Fundraising). The job holder will engage in cross-departmental activities, support with the Fundraising Department’s strategy, work plans and systems to help achieve departmental objectives.

The Executive Assistant role will organise and manage complex diary arrangements and have access to highly confidential documents/information, so discretion is paramount. This is a busy, wide-ranging and demanding role that will require using initiative and having a flexible working approach.

The role will offer administrative and logistical support to the Support Services Department, ensuring any queries are dealt with quickly and efficiently. The Post Holder will maintain a pleasant appearance of the reception area and act as first point of contact for visitors, ensuring they receive a warm welcome. S/he will assist the Facilities and Assets Officer with health and safety and the maintenance of the building.

The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience of working in a reception role. The candidate must be a team player as well as being able to work on own initiative. The post holder will be computer literate with experience of MS Word, Excel and will have proven administrative skills.

An excellent opportunity has arisen in Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) for a talented and energetic individual to join our Supporter Relations Unit (SRU) as the Orphan’s Assistant. Reporting to the Orphan’s Officer, this is a vital supporter-facing role, providing an excellent level of service to Islamic Relief’s supporters in line with the standards set out in Supporter Care framework. The job holder will provide support to the orphan’s officer and will play a key role in ensuring communication with supporters are of the highest possible standard. They will also need to ensure that all enquiries are handled efficiently and promptly whilst maintaining accurate financial records and supporter records on the database. This involves handling both general and orphans related enquiries and the administration of UK orphans one to one sponsorship programme.

The successful candidate must:

  • Experience of working in customer service environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in liaising with multiple stakeholders
  • Good levels of computer skills with experience of working with databases and competent in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Power Point and good standard of numeracy
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a methodical manner with attention to detail
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver on tight timescales and work under pressure

Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is looking for an experienced, forward thinking and highly organised individual to become the Data Analyst within the IRUK communications team. The post holder will bring together, analyse (both participant and activity data), and produce appropriate reports for relevant stakeholders within Islamic Relief.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Data Analyst with have closely work with the: Digital Marketing Specialist, Head of Fundraising, Campaigns Lead and other members of the Fundraising, Supporter Relations, ICT and CRM teams. The post holder will also maintain a good working relation with various external software suppliers and data agencies.

The successful candidate must:

  • Be highly numerate with experience in data/statistical analysis
  • Have appreciation of data quality issues
  • Have excellent analytical skills and experience of providing data and interpretation to stakeholders for major campaigns
  • Have experience of working in a fundraising department or background within direct marketing or campaign management
  • Have experience of segmentation modelling techniques
  • Have experience using database and CRM systems
  • Excellent IT skills including knowledge and experience of data structures and CRM tools
