We are seeking to recruit Customer Service Advisors for our Ramadan 2013 campaign. Customer Service Advisors acts as the first point of contact for Islamic Relief UK to ensure that a high level of customer care is provided to all our supporters and donors. You will be responsible for managing the switchboard, taking donations and dealing with enquiries effectively.
In order to perform the duties the post holder must have excellent telephone manner, good communication and interpersonal skills and good IT and data entry skills. Previous experience in customer service environment is desirable but not essential.

Public Affairs Co-ordinator Contract: Permanent Base location: London Salary: £32,000 (plus £3,000 London weighting)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and dynamic individual to join Islamic Relief UK’s Communications department as the Public Affairs Co-ordinator. The individual will be an integral part of the Campaigns and Public Affairs unit assisting with developing and managing relationships with key external stakeholders, UK decision-makers and institutions. The post holder will work on developing the public affairs strategies and providing senior management with an external perspective on government policies, parliamentary activity and other public bodies. As one of the brand ambassadors of the charity, the individual will be taking overall responsibility of IRUK’s public affairs strategy.
The Successful Candidate: - Excellent interpersonal, communication and representative skills. - Experience in working in public affairs / external relations role. - A thorough understanding of UK political scene, government affairs and the charity sector. - Good knowledge and understanding of humanitarian issues. - Ability to think strategically, to take initiative and balance competing priorities. - Experience in writing effective and persuasive project proposals and communication materials & resources. - Strong team player with the ability to fulfil strategic leadership role within the organisation. - Strong research and analytical skills. - Result focused – ability to plan, co-ordinate and deliver objectives and targets.

National Fundraising & Volunteer Manager Contract: Permanent Base location: London Salary: £39,200 (plus £3,000 London weighting)
An excellent opportunity has arisen in Islamic Relief for an experienced and professional individual to join our Fundraising and Supporter Care department as the National Fundraising & Volunteer Manager. The CFV Manager will be responsible to develop, design and implement a sustainable community fundraising & volunteering strategy in order to raise funds, awareness and participation by volunteers and supporters. The CFV Manager will report directly to the head of FSC and will be responsible for the regional CFV teams and Events and Challenges team.
The Successful Candidate: - Must have senior level experience of successfully setting, managing and delivering on targets. - Must have proven experience of gathering, analysing and interpreting information to represent an organisation at junior and senior levels. - Must have Experience of generating positive publicity from local media. - Must have good knowledge of traditional and non-traditional Community Fundraising models. - Must have proven ability to work to a high standard and with an eye for detail, working under own initiative to strict deadlines, and managing accounts and projects simultaneously. - Must be able to work outside of office hours with overnight stays as required. - Proven experience of setting up and managing a support and volunteer group network is desirable but not essential.

Derby Shop Manager Contract: Permanent base location: Derby Salary: £16,500
We are currently seeking a Shop Manager at our new Islamic Relief Charity Shop in Derby, East Midlands (DE23). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the supervision and management of the shop, staff and volunteers.
The post holder will be ultimately responsible for the day to day running, safety and success of the shop.
The duties will include meeting sale targets, all admin, sorting clothes, managing & supporting staff and volunteers, ensuring the shop is kept clean, presentable and safe
The ideal candidate must have experience in retail with excellent communication & interpersonal skills. They must also be accurate with figures, able to work under pressure, team lead, work on own initiative, be computer literate, friendly & approachable, together with the willingness to be very flexible.
