Islamic Relief has been distributing family food packs in Ramadan over the last 25 years, thanks to your generous donations. In 2009 approximately 650,000 people, from 25 different countries, benefitted from a food parcel.
The Ramadan food distribution programme targets the most vulnerable families who live in remote areas and include categories such as widows, orphans, the disabled , the aged and people affected by natural disasters.
Food packs generally consist of:
- Wheat Flour/Rice/Macaroni
- Beans
- Dates
- Cooking Oil
- Lentils
- Sugar
