Posters - Millennium Development Goals 1-9 |
| The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) were developed by the UN in the Year 2000, to help some of the world's poorest people by halving chronic poverty by 2015.
These posters are designed for KS3 onwards but there is no reason why they couldn't be used for other age groups if explained properly. The posters teach children about the MDGs by warning about the present situation, outling what MDG's hope to achieve and by describing how Ilsamic teaching support these global objectives. The resource could, therefore, be useful not just within the the context of citizenship & charity, but also for explaining Islam with the RE syllabus as well as other relevant topics in Geography.
