| Ramadan Food Gift
Hadiah Qiblawi lives with her four children in Saida, Lebanon. She became a widow in 2005, when her husband passed away. She is a beneficiary of Islamic Relief’s Ramadan Food Package Programme, which aims to provide food assistance to widows, the elderly, orphans, the disabled and other vulnerable people during the month of Ramadan.
Hadia has four sons who all attend school and a son who attends nursery. Since the death of her husband, Hadia has struggled to cope. The family lives in a house that needs repair. She has to pay $150 per month for rent and finds it very difficult to cover the expenses of her family, especially school fees for her children, due to a price increase after the war.
Hadia and her family are grateful to Islamic Relief for the food package they received, which Islamic Relief provides to families such as Hadia’s to assist them and give them respite from their daily difficulties. |
