Charity work is about real people and real lives. We often give money to charity
to help people but how much do we really know about how these people live and how
they feel? Islamic Relief has compiled nine case studies based upon the lives of
young people around the world. They tell the story of these young people, sometimes
in their own words, about their daily struggles to achieve a better life for themselves
and their families.
Match the photo to the case study game
· Mix up the photos and corresponding front pages to each of these case studies.
· Ask pupils to work in small groups or pairs, in matching each photo to the
correct front page.
· When pupils have finished this task, ask them to feedback the decision they
have made to the whole class, giving reasons for their choices.
· Then give each group or pair the remaining pages on each case study they
have, which tell them more about the country where the case study is based.
